2nd Annual Battle of the Bands - Slated for Fall 2010

The 2nd Annual Battle of the Bands is scheduled in Fall 2010.

Last year's event held at the Hocking County Fairgrounds, was a huge success with more than 350 in attendance.

"None Can Win", a high school band from Gallipolis, won the battle and took home $1,000, a studio recording session and invitation to perform at the Wexner Fusion Festival in August.

Following the battle, The Cur Dogs performed a veriety of southern rock songs followed by Dirty Talk, who made their way into the stands, getting the crowd involved.  Nashville recording artist, Shane Avery, took the stage and invited Corey's friends and classmates to join him as he sang "I'm Not Gonna Cry" a song recorded by one of Corey's favorite artists, Corey Smith.  Avery then sang "The Other Side of the Door," a song he wrote after meeting Corey and then hearing of his death.  The words of the song were heard by all and Corey's friends were touched by the song.

The Wooly Lemons of Athens played a variety of rock music for the crowd.  Logan's own, 7th Cycle, closed the show with an outstanding performance of hard and classic rock music.

The event brought in $10,000 before stage and sound expenses, with all proceeds from the event going into the Corey Kissling/Foundation 45 Scholarship Fund.
